「ご贔屓繋馬(ごひいきつなぎうま)」は三代目市川猿之助（現：猿翁）によって1984年明治座で上演された作品です。そして好評を博したため2年後に再演、1993年には歌舞伎座でも上演された。三代目猿之助48演目の中でも代表的な演目です。
歌舞伎の題材としておなじみの平将門や源頼光が登場する「前太平記」の世界は、江戸の顔見せ狂言の題材としてよく使われ、多くの作品に取り上げられています。「繋馬」とは平将門が率いた相馬平氏の旗印でもあります。
序幕は市原野の火葬場から平将門の子供、平良門が火の粉と共に甦ります。戦いの場面の後、宙づりになって平良門は飛び去るという歌舞伎の様式美とスペクトラムのめまぐるしいものすごい場面で幕となります。
2幕目は、酒呑童子の岩屋が遊郭になっているという歌舞伎らしいおおらかで華やかな場面で、幕切れは再び戦いの場面が見せ場となります。
そして最後は蜘蛛物の舞踏の中でも猿之助が得意とする6役もの早変わりが楽しみな「蜘蛛の糸宿直噺（くものおよづめばなし、宿直＝夜勤）」で幕となります。

(English) "Gohiiki Tsunagi Uma" is a work by Ichikawa Ennosuke III (now known as Ennosuke) performed at the Meijiza Theatre in 1984. It was so well received that it was performed again two years later, in 1993, at the Kabukiza Theatre. This is one of the most representative of the 48 performances of Ennosuke III.The world of "Former Taiheiki", in which Taira no Masakado and Minamoto no Yorimitsu appear, is often used as a theme for Kaomise-Kyogen in Edo and has been featured in many works. "Tsunagi" is also the banner of the Soma Taira clan, led by Taira no Masakado.
In the first act, Taira no Masakado's child, Taira no Yoshikado, is revived by sparks from the Ichiharano crematorium. Then, after the battle scene, the curtain falls on a dizzying and terrifying scene of Kabuki beauty and range, in which Yoshikado is suspended in mid-air and flies away.
In the second act, Shuten-doji's Iwaya becomes a red-light district, typical of Kabuki.
Finally, the act ends with "Kumo no Ito Oyozune-Banashi'', in which you can look forward to the quick change of 6 roles that Ennosuke is good at, even in the dance of the spiders.

Taira no Masakado's bereaved child, Yoshikado Souma-Tarou, who was defeated in the Johei-Tengyo War, inherited his father's will and launched a battle to conquer the world but unfortunately died of illness.
Taira no Masakado's daughter and Yoshikado's younger sister, Princess Takiyasha, has learned a secret art that can revive any dead person by pouring the lifeblood of a 1,000-year-old Jorogumo.
She's already known about that. However, she cannot ask them because she doesn't have much money.

Masayori Mikuriya, a servant of the Heike clan, comes to Ichiharano to cremate Yoshikado's body and drive off the Genji pursuers.
Princess Takiyasha, wishing to resurrect her brother, offers Masakado's skull and gold crown to Ishigumo Hoin, who has mastered her secret arts.
When Ishigumo Hoin prays earnestly, Yoshikado is restored with sparks all over his body and messy hair. Then, while Jutaro Iga and Kikyo watch, Yoshikado's costume starts to burn again...

"Gohiiki-Tsunagi Uma" was written by Ichikawa Ennosuke III (currently Ichikawa Ennosuke) and Nagawa Shosuke based on the original work by Tsuruya Namboku IV.
This time we will add more ingenuity and deliver the story in a fresh and condensed form. In Ogiri-shosagoto's "Kumo no Itojuku Naobanashi", Ennosuke dances in six different roles: the girl, the page, the scribe Shinzo, Taiko Mochi, Keisei(Beautiful woman, playgirl) and the spider spirit. I will show you an appropriate change dance.
