Synopsis.
Soma Tarōyōmon, the son of Taira no Masakado, who was defeated in the Jōhei/Tenkei Rebellion, hoped to follow in his father's footsteps. However, he died of illness. The daughter of Taira no Masakado: Princess Takiyasha came to the Ichihara Fields to cremate her brother's body: Yoshimon, where she learned that there was a Genji treasure that could bring any dead person back to life by pouring the living blood of a female spider that would live for 1000 years. The Genji treasure also says that if a person born in the Year of the Dragon possesses it, they can use magic at will. So she wants to resurrect her brother. Princess Takiyasha fights for the treasure and is killed. But her brother survives: Yomon, whose whole body is on fire and whose hair is shaking, is revived from the vat.

"The Go-Hiiki Tsunagi-Uma(Favorite horse)" was first performed at the Meiji-za Theatre in April 1984 to great acclaim. This time it is completed with a further twist. In Kumo no Ito, Oyozumebanashi (The Story of the Spider), Ennosuke plays the six roles of a girl, a farmer, a servant leader, a flatterer, a high-class prostitute and a spider spirit, quickly changing costumes and dancing in different ways. In addition, he performs a varied dance, full of glamour and worthy of a "commemorative performance". Of all Ennosuke III's performances, this is the one to look forward to at the Meiji-za Theatre.
