The villa at night. Don Giovanni breaks into the bedroom of Donna Anna, the Knight Commander's daughter, causing a commotion. After a duel, Don Giovanni kills the knight and flees with his servant Leporello.

Anna faints in shock when she sees her father lying on the ground. She then vows revenge on her fiancé Ottavio.

Don Giovanni, on the run, relentlessly seduces a woman in the dark, who turns out to be Elvira, his long-lost lover.

Elvira is furious and sends Leporello on the run again.

Don Giovanni stumbles upon a wedding party. Now we turn our attention to the bride, the young Zerlina.

Leporello invites all the villagers to a lavish banquet in his villa and persuades Zerlina to accept. But at the last minute, Elvira arrives, and Zerlina is taken to her groom.

Don Giovanni has returned to the mansion and is wooing Zerlina at the banquet. Then Anna, Ottavio and Elvira, who had sneaked in wearing masks, exposed their misdeeds and put them in a desperate situation. Here, too, he managed to escape.

Act Ⅱ

Judgment time; go to Hell.

Don Giovanni changes clothes with his servant Leporello and seduces another woman. Then Zerlina's bridegroom and villagers with guns arrive to punish him. Don Giovanni pretends to be Leporello to fool his groom, takes his weapon, tortures him and leaves.

Meanwhile, Leporello's disguise is also revealed. Everyone now seeks revenge for Don Giovanni's many crimes.

Only Elvira has a premonition of the judgement that will fall on Don Giovanni. So she confesses her vengeful heart and her wavering heart.

On the run, Don Giovanni arrives in good spirits at a cemetery with a horse and a statue of the Knight Commander.

He proudly tells Leporello what has just happened. Then the stone statue of the Knight Commander opens its mouth and warns him to change his mind. But Don Giovanni, who doesn't care about him, unexpectedly invites the statue to his villa.

This stone statue is the slain Knight Commander, who appears in the villa and urges him to repent. Don Giovanni, who has no ears to hear, is taken away by the Knight Commander and finally falls into Hell.

<The strongest playboy in history = Don Giovanni>

A)

Speaking of Mozart's "Don Giovanni", the main character is Don Giovanni, the strongest Playboy in history, who made 640 women in Italy, 231 women in Germany and 1003 women in Spain. Suddenly a rape scene! The drama begins and ends with the hero's fall into Hell and is also astonishing.

B)

Despite its immoral content, Mozart's music is the reason it has been performed all over the world since its premiere in Prague in 1787. It's a rather long opera with 2 acts, just under 3 hours, but it starts with the famous "Overture'', "Catalogue Song'', "Hand in Hand'', "The Peace in Her Heart'', "Champagne Song'', "Hit Me Masetto''.

Then, many famous arias such as the Masetto, Serenade, The Pharmacist's Song, The ungrateful betrayed me, Comfort my lover and the music from the film Amadeus: Fall into Hell. There is probably no other opera that has a chorus and a choir.

C)

The characters are also attractive. The main character, Don Giovanni, is a man who loves all women equally, regardless of age, build or colour. He's tall and wealthy, handsome and probably a tall man. Apart from his bad habits, he could be described as the ideal man who would attract all women.

D)

What's interesting are the three women around him, who are very interestingly portrayed in this performance. Donna Anna, who is suddenly raped, burns with revenge, but she still seems in love with Don Giovanni and doesn't even look at her fiancé Don Ottavio.

Zerlina is more of a devil and will do everything she can to win back her sulking husband, Masetto, even as she approaches Don Giovanni himself. Finally, Donna Elvira's love is pure but perhaps a little stalking.

F)

They were directed by Kaspar Holten, former opera director of the Royal Opera House. This production premiered in February 2014, and this video is the fourth rendition.

G)

At the press conference for his visit to Japan, the director said of Don Giovanni: What he fears is not the flames of Hell, but loneliness. So, because of his fear of loneliness, he tries to seduce all sorts of women and forget reality.

How will Don Giovanni's fall into Hell be depicted? A theatrical stage unique to Shakespeare's country unfolds, revealing the hypocrisy and fragility of human existence.

1)

"Don Giovanni is an opera composed by Mozart. It was first performed in Prague in 1787. Its official title is The Punished Dissipation or Don Giovanni.

2)

Like The Marriage of Figaro, which had already been a great success in Prague, this opera was written to a libretto by Lorenzo da Ponte. Still, it tells the story of the legendary Spanish debauchee Don Juan. It is the basis. Moliere's 1665 play Don Juan, also known as The Feast of Stone Figures, is said to have been a significant influence.

3)

The music in this opera is sometimes comic, but it's also severe. Don Giovanni dies at the opera's end, but there is no comedy in how he dies. Instead, it shows him struggling with fear, perhaps for the first time. Such a musical part is the splendour of this opera.

4)

Giovanni, calm in front of women, shows arrogance and sometimes anger when he is with Leporello. However, I don't know if this part can be considered Giovanni's true nature. His attitude towards Leporello can be seen as an attempt to control Leporello. They're deliberately angry to show who's in charge. In this sense, Giovanni has a very manipulative personality, fully demonstrated in the scene where he meets Masetto in the second act (Giovanni's aria, Meta di voi qua video).

You can see that Giovanni lives his life trying not to let people know what is in his heart.

5)

The audience can hardly see Giovanni's mind, but they can see something close to it at the last moment. Giovanni remains very brave and proud of the appearance of the statue of the Knight Commander, whom he has invited to dinner, while simultaneously fighting his fear of his ghost, the Knight Commander. In this scene, we see Giovanni's conflict between pride and fear as he finally reveals what he has never shown to the audience. That's why it's such a great scene!
